In response to the shortage of disinfectant wipes during the pandemic in 2020, the NIC Executive Board temporarily authorized all practical test centers to accept "best attempt" or "simulated product" for disinfectant wipes.
The Executive Board has continued to monitor this situation and has authorized the reinstatement of the original requirement regarding the use of disinfectant wipes and will no longer accept "best attempt" or "simulated products" in the testing centers.
NIC understands the need to provide candidates and schools sufficient notice of policy changes and implementation in the testing centers. Therefore, these changes will be implemented for all practical examinations effective November 1, 2021.
