The Alabama Board of Cosmetology & Barbering will never contact any shop or licensee by phone or in person requesting money for license renewals, fines, or any other fees. All requests from this office involving money due will be in writing on official documents. If suspicious, potentially scam calls are received, ABOC strongly encourages individuals to contact the Alabama Attorney General’s Office to file a formal complaint.
